YGIA Polyclinic Runner-Up for Quality Improvement Award

YGIA Polyclinic was shortlisted for the CHKS Quality Improvement Award by the CHKS Accreditation Awards Panel, nominated amongst five other hospitals.

The awards ceremony was held at Middle Temple Hall in London on the 30 April 2013.  During the ceremony, hospitals throughout the UK were awarded in various categories, including the recognition of the top 40 hospitals throughout the UK.  These awards were granted based on predefined performance indicators.

The Quality Improvement Award on the other hand is open to all hospitals that were Accredited in the year 2012 and was not restricted to the UK only.  The key factors analysed for significant improvements in the organization were:

1. Patient safety
2. Patient experience and clinical care
3. Staff welfare, safety and morale.

The announcement of YGIA Polyclinic as runner-up was indeed a great honour for our hospital and fulfills our employees need for recognition of their hard work, at the same time keeping morale and employee engagement high to continue the quest for quality improvement.

I take this opportunity to thank everyone involved. This journey will never end, as we have now moved onto the next level and this has been recognised by healthcare professionals that survey many hospitals internationally.
