YGIA Polyclinic Innovates in Quality Patient Care

In recent years, the science of compassion has made enormous strides.  We are beginning to understand that compassion brings mental and physical health benefits to those who feel it and to those who receive it as well.

Additionally, research suggests that providing compassionate care is a skill of healthcare providers which we can strengthen through training.

Within the framework of the Hospital’s Strategy to provide high quality respectful care to patients – customers, aiming at enhancing people’s                                         quality of life, the Polyclinic has entered into partnership with the H.E.A.T.                                   Healthcare Consultants (UK), for carrying out the Compassionate Care                                        Programme.

The workshops’ objectives aim at:
i. Increasing one’s ability to handle stressful work situations.
ii. Cultivate more meaningful connections with patients and co-workers.
iii. Strengthening the ability to engage and collaborate with team members.
iv. Decreasing job overwhelm.
v. Increasing job satisfaction.
vi. Reducing compassion fatigue and professional burn-out.
