World Day for Health & Safety at Work
The International Labour Organisation (ILO) celebrates its 100th year of continuous information and awareness-raising campaign intended to focus international attention on emerging trends in the field of occupational health and safety and on the magnitude of work-related injuries, diseases and fatalities worldwide. This date has also been marked by the International Confederation of Free Trade Unions, as a day of remembrance and mourning to honour workers who have lost their lives, injured or disabled on the job or who suffer from occupational diseases.
Each year, a specific theme is chosen. The one for the year 2019 is: “Health and Safety and the Future of Work”.
