Dr Nikolaos Igoumenides

Dr Nikolaos Igoumenides – Interventional Cardiologist

Dr Igoumenides is a graduate from the Medical School of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens Greece. He obtained the Cardiology specialization in October 1996. After obtaining the Cardiology specialization, he  worked at the Hemodynamic Laboratory of the University Hospital of Heraklion Crete, Greece (PaGNH) and was trained in the entire spectrum of Interventional Cardiology.


After presenting his Doctoral Thesis, he was awarded the Doctorate degree (PhD) in July 2002, by the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Crete, Greece.


He served in the Cardiology Department of the University Hospital of Heraklion from 1998 to 2015, as an NHS physician, while he was designated the title of Director of Cardiology in 2012.


From 2008 to 2015, he was working exclusively in the Hemodynamic Laboratory of the Department of Cardiology as an Interventional Cardiologist.


From February 2024 he is an inhouse Consultant Interventional Cardiologist in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory of YGIA Polyclinic.
