RADIOLOGY DEPARTMENT

The following examinations are performed in the department:

  • Simple X-rays, such as chest, abdomen, skeletal

  • Radiographic examinations, e.g. barium swallow, barium meal, salpingography, pelvimetry.

  • Ultrasound tomography with Shearwave elastography technique and with the ability to perform examinations such as breast, upper and lower abdomen, peripheral vessels and soft tissues.

  • Panoramic and cephalometric X-ray

  • Measurement of bone density with the state-of-the-art and latest technology HOLOGIC HORIZON Wi, which guarantees:

    • Scanning of the spine and hip within 30 seconds for bone density measurement

    • Scanning protocols and analysis for the lumbar spine, proximal femur, both hips, forearm, scoliosis spine, low bone density spine and hip, pediatric spine, pediatric hip, advanced whole-body composition analysis

    • Dose report received by the examinee in relation to the examination area

    • Color fracture risk index

    • FRAX report (10-year fracture risk assessment)

    • Automatic comparative analysis for a series of similar examinations

    • Software for computer-aided data export for adults and children regarding bone and whole-body composition analysis (BCA) from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES

    • Advanced whole-body composition analysis with estimation of visceral fat (InnerCore) and report on the rate of change in BCA, with color images.
