Food Safety Policy
The food services recognize that in order to successfully establish a culture of safe food handling, safe work practices must be followed, developed through effective risk analysis and compliance with the highest hygiene standards. Therefore, Ygia Polyclinic has adopted a Food Safety Management System (FSMS) in accordance with Articles 3 and 5 of Regulation (EC) No 852/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2004 on the hygiene of foodstuffs, which applies to all activities and operations of the company related to food hygiene and safety.
Ygia Polyclinic has a duty to protect the vulnerable health of its patients, as well as to provide a variety of nutritious foods that meet the dietary needs of each patient. To ensure best practice, the Management of Ygia Polyclinic has taken the following actions:

Establishment of a sustainable culture of food quality and safety by implementing a system to identify relevant risks.

Execution of a valid traceability system from the receipt of raw materials, storage, maintenance, processing and disposal.

Provision of information, training and necessary resources to all employees for food preparation in a safe environment where safety procedures of ISO 22000 are followed.

Provision of clear guidelines to kitchen staff for safe practices.

Monitoring of achievements and setting goals for further improvement.
