Dr Achilleas Psifis

Dr. Psifis has an impressive professional journey that began in 1994 as a General Duties Physician at the Naval Hospital of Athens, followed by serving as a Health Officer on a frigate of the Hellenic Navy from 1995 to 1996. He then specialized in General Surgery at the Naval Hospitals of Crete (1996-1997) and Athens (1997-1999), and from 1999 to 2003, he further specialized in Vascular Surgery at "Laiko" General Hospital of Athens. In 2003-2004, he continued his specialization in Vascular Surgery at Aretaeio University Hospital in Athens.

From 2004 to 2008, he served as an Attending Physician in the Vascular Surgery Clinic of the Naval Hospital of Athens, and then from 2008 to 2010, he underwent further training in Endovascular Surgery at St. Nikolas Hospital in Eupen, Belgium. From 2010 to 2018, he resumed his role as an Attending Physician in the Vascular Surgery Clinic of the Naval Hospital of Athens.

In 2018, he assumed the position of Director at the Vascular Surgery Clinic of King Khalid Hospital in Hail, Saudi Arabia. From November 2019 to August 2021, he served as Director of the Vascular Surgery Clinic at Mediterranean Hospital in Limassol, Cyprus. Since September 2021, he practices as a Private Vascular Surgeon in Limassol, working within the General Healthcare System (GHS).

In addition to his degrees, including a PhD in Vascular Surgery from the University of Athens in 2006 and postgraduate studies in Endovascular Surgery at Charles Debree University Hospital in Reims, France, in 2010, he has a rich educational and scientific background. He is a member of several scientific societies, including the Hellenic Society of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, the Hellenic Angiological Society, the Hellenic Phlebological Society, and the European Society of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. From 2016 to 2019, he lectured in the Postgraduate Program in Vascular Surgery at "Attiko" University Hospital of the University of Athens.
