Dr Georgia Georgiou

Dr. Georgiou received her Ph.D. from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2017, with a dissertation on "The role of leptin levels in breast cancer patients" and graduated with distinction. She completed her Master's degree in Biostatistics in 2015 with honors and is expected to complete her Master's degree in Breast Diseases in 2024. She graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2009 with high honors and from the Pancyprian Lyceum of Larnaca in 2003 with distinction. She worked as a General Surgery resident at the Hippokration General Hospital of Athens from 2013 to 2019 and as a Specialist General Surgeon from 2019 to 2020. She continued as a General Surgeon in the Surgical Clinic of Limassol General Hospital from 2020 to 2023, and since 2023, she has been practicing as a private surgeon at the Agia Marina Medical Center in Larnaca. Her previous experience includes training in the Surgical Oncology Department at Stanford University Hospital, working as an on-call surgical doctor at the Eugenideio Therapeutic Center of Athens, and as a scientific associate at the Breast Unit of the Hippokration Hospital of Athens. She completed her mandatory rural service at the Galatas Health Center and trained at Tzaneio Hospital in Athens. She has taught at the Anatomy Laboratory of the Nursing School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, in the courses "Clinical Neuroanatomy" and "Head and Neck Surgery" as a scientific associate.
