Dr Maria Georgiou

A graduate of Laniteio Lyceum of Limassol with honors, she received her Medical Degree from the University of Patras in July 2000. From 2000 to 2001, she worked as a preregistration intern at Limassol General Hospital for 12 months. From 2001 to 2003, she was a resident physician in the Department of Internal Medicine at Limassol General Hospital. She specialized in Pulmonology at the 3rd Pulmonology Clinic of Sotiria Thoracic Diseases Hospital in Athens from 2004 to 2007. In 2008, she obtained her board certification as a Pulmonologist-Tuberculosis Specialist after passing the required exams. She is fluent in English and German.

Her professional experience includes working as a Consultant Pulmonologist at the 1st Pulmonology University Clinic of Sotiria Hospital from 2008 to 2009. From December 2009 to December 2010, she served as Senior Medical Officer A, Pulmonologist in the Pulmonology Clinic of Nicosia General Hospital. Between 2011 and 2014, she was a Senior Medical Officer A, Pulmonologist at Limassol General Hospital. From January 2015 to 2019, she operated a private practice. Since 2020, she has been a collaborator Pulmonologist with the German Oncology Center in Limassol as part of the GESY, while continuing her private practice.

She participates annually in international, national, and regional conferences/seminars related to Pulmonology.
