Dr Michail Tagkanidis

Dr. Michail Tagkanidis graduated from the Medical University of Plovdiv in 2019, obtaining the degree of MBChB. He completed his specialty training in Anaesthesiology, Resuscitation, Intensive Care and Chronic Pain at “Sotiria” Thoracic Diseases Hospital of Athens and obtained his board certification following the successful completion of the State Specialty Examinations of the Ministry of Health in 2025.

He also attended a Master of Science (MSc) in Algology and Palliative Care from the University of Thessaly Medical School.

During his training, he served in the Intensive Care Unit of Piraiko Therapeftirio Hospital under Prof. Leonidas Grigorakos and did a surgical residency training at Tzaneio General Hospital of Piraeus.

He has received advanced training in regional anaesthesia, cardiovascular pharmacology and emergency patient management, and is a certified Immediate Life Support (ILS) Provider of the European Resuscitation Council (ERC).

He actively participates in scientific congresses, workshops and continuing medical education programmes in Anaesthesiology, Intensive Care and Pain Medicine both in Greece and internationally.

His professional experience includes the provision of anaesthesia for surgical and endoscopic procedures, acute and chronic pain management, emergency and intensive care practice, as well as participation in international medical transport and air ambulance services.

He has collaborated with both public and private healthcare institutions in Greece and, since 2026, has been serving in the Department of Anaesthesiology at Ygia Polyclinic Private Hospital in Limassol, Cyprus, providing comprehensive intraoperative anaesthesia and postoperative pain management services.

Dr. Tagkanidis is multilingual and fluent in Greek, English, Italian, Bulgarian, Russian and Polish.
