Dr Filippos Makris

Dr. Filippos Makris, originally from Larissa, Greece, graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2008. Following the completion of his military service, he moved to Germany where he initially specialized in Internal Medicine and subsequently in Gastroenterology at the tertiary hospital Dietrich Bonhoeffer Klinikum, part of the University of Greifswald. From 2018, he served as attending physician and head of the Endoscopy Unit at Dietrich Bonhoeffer Klinikum until his relocation to Limassol. His clinical expertise spans the entire spectrum of gastroenterology, including all aspects of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures for upper and lower gastrointestinal tract (gastroscopy, colonoscopy, polypectomies using various endoscopic methods, etc.), placement of gastrostomy tubes, ERCP, pH monitoring evaluation, and ultrasound of the abdomen.
