Dr Charis Mamilou
Dr. Charis Mamilou studied at the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz in Germany, where she continued her studies at the University Hospital of the same name, specializing in Cardiology, while staffing mobile pre-hospital emergency medical units as a First Aid doctor. Subsequently, from the age of 32 she was a consultant in two cardiology clinics, in one of which she was chief curator of the Haemodynamic Laboratory, mastering the subspecialty of Interventional Cardiology and Specialized Rhythmology in the field of cardiac implants and practicing exclusively interventional cardiology including the placement of external cardiac support pumps and life support pumps (ECMO), as well as the placement of all types of active cardiac implants with a total of 850-1000 cases per year. In addition he participated in interventional valve replacement and correction procedures (MitraClip, TAVI).
