Dr Christina Plastira

Dr. Christina Plastira is a graduate of the Athens School of Medicine (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) and  obtained her specialty title in Neurology in 2013 after training at the Neurology Clinic of Athens General Hospital “Evangelismos”. From 2014 to 2017, she was an associate of the Neurology Clinic-Stroke Unit at Metropolitan Hospital and she subsequently worked as a consultant  of the Neurology Department/Acute Stroke Unit at Mediterraneo Hospital in Greece (2017-2023). Since the beginning of 2024, she has worked in the Neurology Department-Acute Stroke Unit of a private Hospital in Cyprus, while since 1st May, she is an Ygia Polyclinic in house doctor.

She has participated in multiple international and local conferences, with oral presentations, speeches, as well as in international multicenter studies.

Main areas of clinical interest in Neurology  practice are cerebrovascular diseases , movement disorders and demyelinating diseases, while in the field of neurophysiology she is involved in the assessment of electroencephalography and the performance of electromyography
