YGIA POLYCLINIC SEA MARATHON 2025

With great success, on Sunday, September 21st, the Sea Marathon organized by YGIA Polyclinic was held for the 2nd consecutive year, this time in support of the Parents and Friends Association of Children with Heart Disease. This initiative came from volunteer Chrysostomos Chrysostomou, a member of YGIA Polyclinic’s staff, who actively participates in the team of volunteer swimmers.

The athletes were welcomed by the Deputy Chairman of YGIA’s Board of Directors, Mr. Andreas Georgallis, who delivered a brief address, praising the volunteers’ efforts. An honorary plaque was presented to them in recognition of their contribution.

The event was honored by the presence of members of YGIA’s Management and staff, the President of the Parents and Friends Association of Children with Heart Disease, Mr. Neoklis Parides, together with the Association’s Board of Directors and several members, as well as many friends, relatives, and colleagues of the athletes. As noted by the Association’s President, Mr. Parides, this event was held at a particularly significant moment, as this year marked the Association’s 40th anniversary. He went on to add that the YGIA Polyclinic Sea Marathon 2025 was the most successful fundraising event in the Association’s 40-year history, since the amount raised exceeded €35,000.
