Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Dr Christos Michaelides graduated both Dental and Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece.

Fulfilled a three year post-graduate programme at the Oral Surgery department of the above University by the end of 1988.

Attended a five year training programme in  General Surgery to include a three months full time training at the I.C.U. of Evangelismos General Hospital in Athens,under Prof. Rousos. In 1994 was accredited as Specialist General Surgeon by the Athens Board of Examination.

In 1995 attended the Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery training programme at the London University Hospitals as well as eight months training programme at the Canniesburn Head/Neck Surgery center in Glasgow, under Prof. Harris and Mr Soutar respectively.

During his training in Head/Neck surgery had the opportunity to attend the world known Canniesburn Flap Course as well as several microvascular anastomosis courses.

Also, attended with succes the A.T.L.S and A.L.S. courses of the U.C.L.H.

In June 2000 was accredited as Specialist Oral/Maxillofacial Surgeon by the Athens Board of Examination.

Between 2001-2004 was appointed as Oral/Maxillofacial Surgeon at the Nicosia General Hospital and had the responsibility of the Oral Maxillofacial Unit of the Limassol General Hospital.

Since 2005 covers for the Oral/Maxillofacial cases of YGIA Private Hospital, Limassol Cyprus.

Dr Christos Michaelides is an Active Member of the European Association of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgeons as well as of the Hellenic Association of Oral/Maxillofacial Surgeons and honorary member of the Hellenic Association of General Surgeons.
