WORLD RARE DISEASES DAY

They are rare, but at the same time like us. This is why we need to make sure that
patients with rare diseases, enjoy equal access to everything, but especially to Health,
with access to innovative and specialized treatments,
which will improve their daily life. A disease, in order to be classified as rare,
should affect less than 1 in 2,000 people, although in reality most rare diseases
occur in 1 in 100,000 people.
The number of Rare Diseases amounts to 7000-8000 diseases, of which
50% concern children, with a mortality rate reaching the 30%
until the 5th year of their life. This alone, makes it imperative to disseminate information,
raise awareness and conduct medical research that will generate new data
for 'Rare Patients'.
YGIA Polyclinic, with specialized medical staff and a state-of-the-art
diagnostic department, stands by these patients by offering
specialized medical diagnostic tests.
